Fluid Translation, with its head office in Stockholm, offers language consultancy services in Sweden. With more than 20 years’ experience in the language industry, we are able to adapt our services to our clients’ requirements, helping them navigate the language services market.
Sometimes our clients need an authorised translation of legal or business documents for official use. We offer translation services carried out by qualified translators authorised by Kammarkollegiet, Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency, guaranteeing the accuracy, quality and legal validity of the documents.
When is an authorised translation needed?
In short, this depends on what the documents will be used for and the requirements of authorities or partners. An authorised translation might be required for e.g.:
• contracts and agreements
• power of attorney
• judgements and other legal documents
• certificates of registration and extracts from the business register
• annual reports and other financial reports
All authorised translations are carried out by experienced authorised translators specialising in legal and financial translation. The documents are stamped with the translator’s personal authorisation stamp and number, which means they are recognised for official use in Sweden and abroad. Read more about authorised translation here . The documents can be delivered both digitally and as hard copy by post.

Authorised translations are not available for certain language combinations because not all countries have authorised translation systems. Some documents do not require authorisation, but might still require assurance of authenticity. In these cases, we recommend using certified translation, where we certify that the document has been translated by a professional translator.
